Hi,
I've been having problems with the car battery dying on me after 1 weeks no use. The battery is only just over 2 years old and I have had it tested a few times and told the battery is absolutely fine.
I'm assuming something must be draining the battery and the first place I feel I should look is the radio. I've looked in the user manual to check where the fuse may be and removed all the 15a fuses but the radio still turns on. Rather than having to go through each fuse one at a time can anyone confirm which fuse it should be? A jpeg of my fuse box can be downloaded from here: https://www.hightail.com/download/UlRUZGVYTmFveE9KUmNUQw/
I should point out that I had a Dension Ice iPod dock installed about 5 years ago which means the CD stacker under the armrest is no longer in use. I have however only been having a problem with the battery for just over a year.
Although the car is not being used a great deal I'm fully aware that a battery will eventually run out of juice if it's not going to get a decent charge for a while. An hour and a half drive should surely give the battery enough of a charge to hold for 1 to 2 weeks though?
Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I know there is an issue with the VW stereos draining the battery and cars effected need an updated CAN bus but I believe this only effects cars where the stereo has been upgraded to a newer VW factory model. Worth having a search about for more info as I don't know too much on it.

Thanks for this. I'll have a go at finding the radio fuse and see if removing it confirms that it is the stereo.

Check you have not got something silly like the glove box or boot light staying on.

Might be that the radio is still looking for the CD drive and does not go to sleep as it should....
Any faults showing up with VCDS?

What headunit do you have?
