Title: not got much go

hello, iv a 1999 golf mk3.5 20l egg engine convertible 87000 on clock, it starts ok it seems like a bit of a miss on tick over, when driving it seems a little slow on power is this right or any ideas wot could be wrong, its had new leads,plugs, cap n arm

Duff coil would be first idea.

Any fault codes in ECU?

right unplugged maf ran so much better, picked 1 up fitted it today, now engine wants to stall when I slow down wots going on. lost me vag coder

its clean dude, didn't have this problem with old maf just bad tick over n not much power

Got access to a live data scanner ? Can see what's properly going on then, will cost about £40 to get someone to do it if not

Disconnect battery for a few hours best overnight then reconnect both terminals. Then turn on the ignition, don't start the engine though and don't touch the pedals. Leave on for 30 seconds then turn ignition off and then start the car straight away not touching any pedals. That should align the throttle body.

I will try that tonite dude n see wot happens, iv changed the plugs,dizi cap,rotor arm,coil,maf,relay 167,relay30,leads n fuel filter, if I remember right the throttle body was clean last time I looked but will check again.
any body around the bude area got the full diagnostic iv only half of it

Good luck, finding anything in Bude on Xmas eve is going to be hard :grin:
