At the petrol station today and notice when I pressed the fuel flap it no longer pops out, it opens whilst prying with finger tips though and closes fine.
Think I've read before others getting this, is it a garage fix?

Mines does that every six month. Some service lube sorts it right out....
-
Thanks guys, will lube her up later!
-
Mines done the same today.

Mine was doing it for a while - would click in to open but not then pop out but you could carefully push the opposite side to flick it out when it was stuck in.
Just followed the above link and shaved a bit of plastic off with a stanley knife and works perfect now. Tried lubing it up first didnt work.

Mine did that the other day and it worked again after I cleaned some dirt out of it. Try cleaning it before taking a knife to it. Even as someone else hase suggested put some service lube on it.
If you find yourself stuck with the flap not opening just slide a credit card or Tesco Clubcard in my case in to the side gap and gently flip it open until you can clean it.
Don't take a knife to it, unless you really have to.

must be the weather - mine did that for the first time this week as well.
-
Most definitely something in the air. Mine did it for the first time last week as well.
-
I'm joining this club unfortunately, will have 2 have a look at it in daylight - my car is kept clean btw.

This is nothing to worry about - 5 seconds to fix with a sharp knife
According to the thread I linked to above its all the dealer will do too so if anyone was going let their dealer have a look save yourselves the trip

Both my GTD and my SQ5 have developed this issue. Where do I lube and what lube do I need.
-
Mine also started sticking....the 20 second fix on the previous link fixed it 100%
It just isnt worth the hassle of taking it to a dealer to fix

My fuel flap also started to stick, I popped into the dealers on the off chance that they could take a look at it, which they did, there and then, and replaced a part. I was on my way again within half an hour.

Mine started sticking closed over a year ago. I lubed the pivot rod with decent silicon grease (not spray) just once and it's been perfect ever since. Recommended as a long term fix :)
