Hi guys, was just wondering if anyones gone apr? And what are the results bhp wise?
Currently running stage 1 bluefin, and just fancy getting abit more out of it.
As i dont know exactly what mine is pushing out with bluefin,
Or even a stage 2 bluefin, which requires a sports cat.
Any opinions? Suggestions?

Any stage 2 require a sports or decat - then coding out with the map.
Bluefin stage 2 is about the same as APR or Revo's stage 1. If you have the money go APR or Revo.
-
Get a downpipe, decat, intercooler then APR remap. You already have your breathing bolt ons..or go APR stage 3 :p K04 turbo swap ftw
-
Where's the best place to get it done? As in apr or revo?
Seen alot more praises about revo but dont know where does it?
I know that awesome gti do apr, but would rather go that route then than having to get a sports cat or decat etc just so that i could have stage 2 bluefin. As revo or apr map would basically be a straight swap but slightly more bhp than bluefin ye?

I'm running apr, is great. And the switch able modes is handy.

Wait another month and REVO will have a sale on. Usually 20% off. There are loads of place around the country that supply the map. I went Statllers in Sheffield.
-
Thanks guys, yeah i think i might actually wait until december to get it done then if there's a 20% sale on, is it well worth the money? And seeing as you rocketrossuk had bluefin before yours, is there alot of difference?
-
Just got off the phone with votex from south chester area, anyone ever dealt with them?
And enquired them about a revo remap instead of a bluefin.
And they were saying with the mods i've got now they'd recommend me going stage two revo instead of their stage one, as i'm basically eligible for one with the mods i've got.
But i asked him if i required a new downpipe with decat or sportscat and he said no, is this true? As he said he could taylor make the map so that it just suits the mods i've already got and when i do go down the downpipe and sportscat for me to pop back there tto tweak the map to allow for them mods. Anyone help? Isit safe going stage 2 with just the mods i've already got? And that he could tweak the stage 2 to just alloq for the intake and exhaust system until i get a sports cat? And they reckon with the mods it would be between 260-290bhp.

Oh and also, they've got the 20% sale on atm! :)

Anyone? No?! Haha

Sorry only just seen your post. No I would not recommend going stage 2 with out the downpipe.
Revo has spent hundreds of hours creating the map and fine tuning it, so it would worry me if someone wanted to start messing with it. Im not saying he doesnt know what he is doing, but if you are buying Revo then thats what you should get.
Because in theory he is creating his own map, and unless he know the TSI engine inside out then he could create an average or sh!tty map.
Stage 2 revo is a great map, but my only word of warning is make sure your clutch has a lot of life on it or be prepared to get an upgrade in the future as the torque over time will degrade it.

Finally went stage 1 revo today, having to put an uprated intercooler and facing having to upgrade the clutch slightly put me off the stage 2! It's made a world of a difference, it is quite frankly alot faster than what it was with the bluefin, power throughout the revs, doesnt want to stop! Absolutely love it! And i've ordered the SPS box aswell.

I knew that would be your response if you ended up going for it. Have fun.

I actually changed my superchips software to Revo this week, and to be fair think superchips had the edge!
