Ok hi , so i just bought a set of mk4 BBS rims to go onto my mk3 golf and they told me that they fit on the front ones fine but on the back the rear hub was too big and needed to be about 10mm bigger or get some sort of adapter , it sounded to me they didnt really know what to do which is strange for a tyre service so can anyone give me suggestions on what to do? or if i can get some sort of adapter?
MK4 BBS SPECS
16x6.5
with 195/50/r16 tyres on them
Thank you!

I'd take them somewhere else, sounds a bit dubious to be honest. The centre bore should be the same.

Hey welcome to the forum
That sounds odd.
Are you be talking about the BBS RS2 that came on the MK4 convertable:

If so the rims should just bolt on with no issues as Jamo says
-but you may have problems with the tyres being taller than your original ones, they will make your speedo under read & have a negative effect on your acceleration. You can use this link to see the difference:

Do your current front wheels bolt onto the rear without problems? -If they dont, can you post a picture of your rear hub?

I know the centre caps don't fit when using mk4 rims but that's easily sorted, either remove/flatten a bit the bearing dust shield (not really advised) or use narrow spacers.
Have a look on all the wheels and make sure they are all the same spec (bbs number, et and the rest)
