Title: AIR CON COMPRESSOR BEARING

Hello everyone,


I own a Golf GTI 1.8t and the ac compressor bearing makes a horrible noise when the car is turned on, the ac works as normal.

Can anyone recommend what to do? I have called many garages and no one seems to just replace the bearing and i cannot justify spending £300 or so on a new compressor with fitting as my car is 11 years old and i do not intend of keeping it long.

Please can anyone help. Thanks....

Replace the belt with a shorter one, if your selling it, little or no point in repairing it
