Title: Interior lights

Hi guys
Just put my mk4 on the road, interior lights work, but not when opening the doors???  I've heard this does happen to some cars, how do I go about fixing??

is switch in right position?

if yes does it not work on any of the doors or just not on one of them?

if not on any could be faulty interior light switch or fault on the PCB if only a single door then it's door micro switch or wiring in the door

Interior light comes on when unlocking, and when you take key out of ignition.  The lights on doors don't come on either!!

could well be the door lock modules...

I'm having issues with my interior lights too!

They sometimes come on when I open the door, sometimes they don't.

The 'door open' dash light sometimes flashes when the doors open and the interior lights goes on/off rhythmically with the dash light.

The little red door led doesn't flash at all anymore when cars locked.

When I lock the car, (using both remote or whilst driving using interior lock button), sometimes the passenger door doesn't lock and the alarm goes off when I open it.

Sometimes indicators don't flash when I remote lock the car.

When I adjust the driver side mirror the passenger one moves too!

Ahh bloody golfs and their electrical issues! :cry:
