Title: Remap Wiped But No Logical Reason Why ??

Hey guys,

Had my Golf GTI mk5 mapped 2 weeks ago (on dyno, custom map)

Today i had a new interior light fitted, along with a new cigarette lighter, ESP button, tyre pressure calibration button and now the map has gone??!!! :cry: :sad:

Spoke to the tech who swears blind he did not touch anything that would affect the remap, so didnt touch the ECU or disconnect the battery or do any software downloads etc. Any ideas???

You can't "wipe" a remap like that. If it's Revo mapped disconnecting the battery will put the map in to a default setting mode but a "custom" map shouldn't do that. 1st step would be to get the fault codes read to see if there is an issue with the map or maf sensor, and some data logging to see if its requested a remapped level of boost/fuel but having difficulty meeting the requests. If that doesn't give you any clues I'd head back to whoever did the map and ask them to check it out.
