Title: Keyless a big risk?

Surprised nobody has mentioned this article, was all over the news yesterday and whilst VW isn't mentioned...Audi is!

From what I heard they want to clamp down on public availability of the software that makes this possible. Would that be VCDS?

If someone wants to steal your car, they'll steal it whether you have keyless entry or not.  That, unfortunately, is the way of the world - its full of scumbags.  If the BBC are reporting criminals cracking keyless entry via computers only yesterday, that to me implies that these "high-end" scumbags have being doing it for a number of years - they're always one step ahead.

Fred it's not vcds that allows the scum element to get round keyless.
