what year is it, or give us the engine code.... does it come up with fault codes?
could be temp sensor or ignition coil or ...... or .......

Hi there its a j plate 2.0 gti and the code is in 02 it just cuts out in the morning and when I start the car after work
-
No mate "IN02" is not a fault code, just means your car has not had a service in a very long time!
fault codes you need to read with vcds
-
OK m8 cheers for that I was thinking it could be the air flow Meyer

that will be a 2e engine with Bosch injection, It could be worth checking the ISV and giving it a good clean. a VCDS scan is also recommend to check other items
