Title: Seats! Advice needed!
Post by: Lgjennings on 20 October 2014, 20:27
Hi all got myself a GTTDI and was thinking of putting some mazda rx8 seats in. Just wondered if it had been done before and if was or would be a difficult job?
Thanks Liam

Do any audi seats go straight in?
In my old mk4 A3 seats went straight in.
What audi seats would fit?

Any seat can be made to fit within reason! A bit of engineering to say the seat subframe to the fixing point on the floor pan and you'll be sitting like a King on a Throne. What seats you have in the now? leather?

Just standard cloth seats.
Was wondering if anyone knew of any that would go straight in without messing about with anything.

I would of thought that most of the Audi A3 (mk2), TT (mk2) and similar year models would have a matching mounting frame. I don't know for sure, a little Google search should yield the answers you need.

I sold my mk5 gti because the seats gave me an ache in the shoulder, they seem to be designed for shorties with little narrow shoulders.  Bolting in a comfy Parker knoll would improve the car no end.

I've just thought who they are with the narrow shoulders and short backs.... PIKIES, glad I sold up.
