Title: Indicator not working
Post by: lewy20004 on 17 October 2014, 20:08
good evening

Hope someone able to advice me on my indicator issue

I'm thinking (hoping it maybe relay)

Anyway all side repeater's work when you sap the alarm on or off.

Click hazards on and just the left side works (green light on dash etc)
But nothing from the right no fast flash no lights at all (not even dash light)

When driving, left works fine yet again lights on dash etc but nothing on the right when I indicate right.

I thought it may have been the stalk but surly it would work on hazards

The relay 21 clicks and once removed nothing works. (Could this be faulty )

Or is this a complete wiring issue

Many thanks

Check the wiring in the engine bay there's a spade connector male and female that link both sides some where below expansion tank or around that area I had same problem last year and it was that connector rusted up , follow the wiring back from the wing and you should find it.......worth a try

I have chased the wiring and all seem fine.

Correct me if im wrong but if it was the wiring then the indicators wouldn't work when alarm activated.

I have a relay on order. But could it be the stalk?

have you checked the wiring Behind the dash? the alarm operates the indicators independently but if theyve been spliced into the loom at some point something could have became disconnected, I think it's wires coming from the stalk which are left black/white and right black/green

Maybe where the alarm was spliced into the hazards has broken. I would check under the dash
