Title: Where is the spare?

Hi,

Am I missing something here, new GTI no space saver, spare wheel or inflation kit?

So if I get a flat I have to call VW road side assistance.

Seems a bit harsh to me.

Should definitely have a spare under the removable boot floor panel.

Thanks, I was not sure as car dealers are starting to charge extra for them, but then that is really cheap paying 25K for a car without one.

I shall see what VW Kettering have to say.

Do you have your GTI yet? If not, it will come with a space saver spare. If you do have one, have you tried pulling on the handle in the boot floor and seeing if there's one in there (underneath the false floor)? If you have and there isn't a spare there then your dealership has diddled you.

I lifted up the floor and there is the space but no wheel, but I spoke to Kettering VW and they said someone must have taken out the spare to give to another customer.

They have one for me so all sorted just need to go and pick it up.  :smiley:

In 2 days time there will be someone else on here asking where their spare is, it'll be a vicious circle at that dealership.  :grin:
