Title: Running issue with Seat Leon 1.6 (it's nearly a Golf!)
Post by: boneybradley on 11 October 2014, 20:34
I am trying to solve a running issue with an 03 Seat Leon 1.6 petrol, when up to temp it cuts out, it's being vag-com'd and showed a throttle body fault which has being exchanged but the car still cuts out. And on a rescan it now shows no codes at all.
(It's also had a new temp sensor as we had a new one lying around but no change)

Anyone know where to start?

Where did you get new throttle from?

What was the exact fault code? Throttle actuator or sensor?
Did you only read fault codes or also check VCDS measuring blocks (to make sure all the readouts are plausible, also with new throttle)?

It's not 1 I have worked on/touched as yet (it's the in-laws car and he's paid £300 so far and it's no different to how they got it in!!). I've being offered the car as long as I cover the bill but don't fancy spending £££ on it! (We have a fancy snap on machine at the unit and can get to measure the blocks, just need to get it in now!)
