Hey, looking for some help on choosing wheel spacers for my gti, the car is sitting on the standard 18" Austin alloys but lowered using the VWR springs, looking to fit spacers to bring the wheels flush with the arches can anyone help me out? Also thinking about buying a revo induction kit if anyone had any experience with either item please dont hesitate to put in your tuppons worth!

I run a Revo intake. The sound is awesome, the gains on mine were impressive too. 11bhp extra. I would really recommend getting it. It is matched by my Revo stage 1 map. In my opinion it's a better setup than the apr setup!

I bought 15mm ones from here http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/royalwax but i remember seeing some 20mm ones and they looked good too. I dont have any for the front but may do in time.
Make sure you ask for Radius bolts too, not the tapered ones.
I have the Pipercross one, which looks suspiciously like the Revo one but £30 cheaper :grin:

I even have a video of the sound somewhere. What i would say, more a message to you legless is ive noticed the bottom of my filter itself knocks on battery holder bit at the bottom, it was getting quite annoying so I bought some foam pads from EBay. Just letting you know in case youve started to notices a slight knocking noise and cant pinpoint in.

What were the reasons for you guys not going for the APR intake? I personally prefer the enclosed filters. I know the APR intake is pretty steep money wise though.

Personally, just time lol im an impatient fecker and pipercross came out first lol. However I had my doubts about them as they didnt really rate in the same league for me as say the old revo ceramic intake or the ITG system on the mk6, and i was initially going to replace it. BUT now that Revo have adopted it, I have to say my confidence in the system has been greatly increased :smiley:

Thanks Graham. The Revo one doesn't seem to be knocking so will keep it in mind if it starts knocking

The Revo intake has a high flow rate (roughly 857cm²), meaning more power can be generated from it. The APR enclosed filter is more restrictive (roughly 650cm² ). Also the Revo intake goes straight to the turbo in comparison to the APR which has joins in the intake tubes. The APR hence causes turbulence in the intake which saps powers quite considerably and can cause poor air flow! The Revo intake wins hands down apart from looks! I did fluid dynamics as part of my engineering degree so it probably means more to me than you
