hi ,
Have a problem , When I change down from 5th gear to 4th gear I get a slight vibration in the gearstick , A, most noticeable after breaking in 4th gear or after changing down from 5th to 4th , doesn't happen in any other gear just this gear , Only happens when driving with your foot OFF the accelerator , once accelerator is touched the vibration/tremor goes away.
selects gears fine even 4th gear perfect with no crunches or anything to report other than the vibration in the gear stick after the clutch is released
Just recently had a timing belt/water pump replaced and was only noticed after this , if that may have upset anything to cause this??
EDIT * car was left in to transmission specialist and gearbox was removed and inspected and no damage or anything unusual found in it.**
Did a quick search on the forum and found no similar topics hope its a cheap fix :(
Any other ideas what this could be? As I mentioned , only noticed this after getting new timming belt and water pump fitted :(
** few other small things noticed , take off in first gear isn't smooth and also in reverse with a slight judder felt through clutch pedal**
thanks Jonny

Does sound very odd...
Did the gearbox specialist look at linkage and bushes? Also, where did you get the cam belt and water pump replaced?
