Title: Limp mode switch
Post by: Tezmax on 09 October 2014, 16:39
As silly as it sounds I have been travelling around in limp mode for about 6 weeks and enjoying 36+mpg on short distance journeys.

Limp mode problem now resolved but same journeys are now hitting 27-28mpg driving nice and steady.
The above mpg is about right for 6-8 mile short trips but losing up to 10mpg against limp mode figures is quite a large amount.

Am i making any sence here as this will give obvious gains and also removes the the itchy right foot scenario

You can limit the boost to standard actuator pressure by adding a switch to the N75 feed

fit a boost controller inline with the N75 to cap the boost although using your right foot sensibly is easier
