Had this problem for a couple of weeks now, just wondering what it might be ... or if anyone else knows if its an easy fix.
My Reverse light stopped working, and as did the automatic parking sensors, and now you have to press the button to make the sensors come on.
Volkswagen Wigan have got my car in for a service at the minute and they're quoting something like £150 for wires and stuff, I think its a fuse personally, and I don't believe a word they say because they're saying I need £1500 worth of jobs doing to it ( bearing in mind its been in for its cambelt done a few days ago as well and Warrington Volkswagen didn't find anything wrong & also the faults they found on its last service, and me ignoring them, seem to have magically disappeared or repaired themselves )
ANYWAY, BACK ON TO THE MAIN POINT.
Does anyone know if this is dodgy wiring OR is this a case of replace the bulb and it'll work again, or is it a fuse?
From what I remember. it worked up until the point where I jump started someone elses car . . .
I appreciate any help

Could be the reverse switch on the gear linkage since auto parking sensors work when manually switched on. I would test the reversing light first.

Tell me about it! Just spoken to them, and asked them why there was no engine diagnostic report, they couldn't answer. So I'll answer for them!
No engine management light, no engine fault codes = NO FAULT!
