Hi gents, as you know prices range at the dealers, anyone had any idea/views on what a good price is for a 40k DSG Oil & Filter change?
Cheers,
Jim

Mine was done at Letchworth VW and was in the region of 170-180, can't remember exactly.

I've just looked at my 40k service invoice. It's hard to brake down the labour, but the oil was £72.48, the filter £11.42 and a seal £3.28.
With that in mind, I wouldn't want to pay more than £150 at VW, if that's all it's going in for.

Paid £179 at Citygate VW which I thought for London wasn't bad. Independant place I called wanted to charge over £200.

Depends if you want an 'oil change service' or simply an oil and filter change, with no other work/checks carried out?
I have recently had this out with two dealers, as their service receptionists only read from a set menu and seem not to have the intelligence to differentiate. both quoted in the region of £180, when all i wanted was oil & filter changing. Eventually spoke to a manager, easily understood what I wanted and quoted me much less - job done.

same as below give or take. My last change was 5 littres X approx. 23 pounds plus another 15 pounds for seal and filter (of course when you pay these in euro the number is higher :)
