Hi All
After much deliberation and many test drives of various makes and models of cars I placed an order last week for a new GTI PP. Thanks to being a lurker on these forums I've got loads of useful tips so thought I would join in with the conversation.
I went a bit crazy on the options! Have gone for:
Tungsten Silver
Discover Pro
DCC
Reversing Camera
Dynaudio
Keyless
Santiago’s
Lane Assist
Park Assist
Winter Pack
Delivery for end of the year.
But here’s the twist: I work for the Fire Service. This is going to be a car I use for work to respond to operational incidents, therefore it will be fitted with blue lights and siren. Should be lots of fun driving fats with that PP fitted!!

Awesome! You get to legally make the most of the car!
Welcome aboard, you'll love the car and its abilities and there's always the option of making it extra 'rapid' response!
-
I think theres someone else on here who is also in the emergency services with it kitted out with blue lights etc...
-
I love driving with blue lights but if my own car was fitted with them I think I'd be getting in trouble... Be so hard not to use them to get past rush hour traffic on the way home
-
It would be great to give them a quick flash when you see people on their phones whilst driving.

Surely the boot is too small for any equipment needs? They all use estate and 4x4's up here.

As an officer I only need to take my firegear and a few other bits. The guys on the trucks have all the proper kit. I have a 1 series BMW coupé presently and the boot is big enough (just).
