I give up its gone again can't believe it thought it was a permanent fix gutted :-(
-
If it keeps being a problem why not dewiper and plug the water pipe under the bonnet... Cleaner lines on the back and a dry boot too
-
Must be rubbing on something to have gone that quickly.
-
Gutting, after all that effort you went to
As suggested, dewiper? Do you use it much?
-
I wouldn't say much but i like to have the option #awkward
-
No that is bad. I couldn't de-wiper the back end gets so dirty.
-
The read does get dirtier than the rest of the car
-
I think it looks worst with the dirty bit round the outside and the clean bit in the middle, instead of just a dirty window... If it's that bad then get some wipes and clean the hole window

Thats your opinion which your entitled to, clean with wipes? Slightly difficult at 70 on the motorway
-
Yea just got some glass wipes that I keep in the boot if it's getting dirty just give it a quick clean... I wouldn't suggest doing at 70mph tho

I have looked at your thread in the maintenance section and can see quite a few places were the pipe has the possibility to chaff and rub. Out of respect im not going to point these out as a fellow engineer im not going to tell you how to suck eggs.

Thats when it gets dirty tho on the motorway especially in winter this is where something like a rear windscreen washer would come in very useful

No mate please go a head as i stated in thread i routed as vw did cut it shorter than pictured and put some anti-chaff in a few places it is where it goes thru the boot unfortunately :-(

Edging strip on the edges of panels werever it passes near an edge. Some at the top of the hatch I can see in the photos. I noticed you put some cover on the pipe in a few places but also put some edging strip on the metal holes. Check in the rear quarters too our ibiza had some edges up there when I renewed its pipe a few years back with standard washer hose like you have. You may have simply blown the pipe off. I had to cable tie the joints to stop it blowing off in the winter.

Na i've been in there its split again same place i think its too tight in boot with not enough room to move when the tailgate open closes not sure were to go with it now poss narrower pipe
