Evening all,
i'm putting and abf in my agg shell. I have no exhaust for the abf so was looking to start with a de-cat as mr M.o.T man is my friend ;)
i see there are two lengths
510mm
710mm
What are the differences for and how do i go about working out what i need?
Thanks

Later models had a longer cat,96,97 on.Not sure about 95.
If your original cat looked like this :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-MK3-GOLF-GTI-2-0-8v-EXHAUST-CATALYTIC-CONVERTER-CAT-1H0-131-701-P-VW-PART-/400780510772?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AGolf|Plat_Gen%3AMK+III&hash=item5d50614634
You will need the 710mm one.

can any one recommend one?
£599 is an insane price -http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-MK3-8V-16V-VR6-GTI-710mm-LONG-SILENCED-DECAT-PIPE-EXHAUST-/220880839234?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AGolf%7CPlat_Gen%3AMK+III&hash=item336d862242

You want the long one and all cats/decats are same diameter so dont worry about that.
That price is because the seller has no stock. Ebay wont let them remove the listing, but the seller can edit the listing (price) its priced so no one buys it.
Just get any long de cat for mk3 golf gti/vr6
