Title: MBC Install - somthing doesnt look right
Post by: TETSUOXGEZ on 30 September 2014, 01:14
Guys i need some advice, this is the digram i have come up with for installing the manula Bosst Controller,

buti cant cant figure out why the T Peace is needed or if it is is my diagram wrong

The Ball and spring is in the "T" but i dont see how the dial controles it... and is the T actually needed, can i just need run the controller between the wastegate and turbo housing?

Normaly i can look at these things and figure them out, but if connected them up on the bench and ran a foot pump to the controller and some hoses with a gauge to see what happens.

i can controll using just the controller, buti can make any changes in pressure using the T?

Please Help!!

why are you wanting to run an MBC in the first place?

I need to mkae sure the N75 hasnt died.... so this was supposed to be a quick plumbin and test to see if i get the same reults or if the boost holds steady, if steady then i know the N75 needs replacing.

I need to fix this quick as its booked in at R-Tech on th 7th for a stage 1

be quicker to get someone local to swap an N75 with for 10 minutes, and cheaper.
If the N75 was faulty you would have a fault code

Yes that is the correct setup. Also a faulty n75 doesn't always give a fault code. If you set the MBC too high your  car will keep hitting limp mode

I'm not a million miles away if your ever near Stockport.

If its faulty you will know as soon as you fit another that isn't

Dude, that would have been cool... but my N75J has arrived :)

and i found that with heatsoak the valve was sticking and a blown breather pipe allowing in air pass the MAP... All sortedand she runns like a beast :D

so ool, ive even boughter her a new badge "The Interceptor" and after Tuesdays trip to R-Tec she truely will be...

I have such big plans for her, she will eat Ford's, Mig's and Scoobys for breakfast

Also gave up with the MBC as i could not get the damn thing to regulate boost, no matter how or where i installed it :/

Just as a warning, R-Tech won't map it with the J valve fitted

They will certainly prefer the latest revision from the dealers.  E, F or G whichever is latest revision now.  Older valves are less responsive so the ECU/valve takes longer to react so you get a touch more boost before the valve steps in.

Go to dealers,  spend £40 and get a good working valve on your motor.
