Title: Crashed
Post by: BaBaZa on 23 September 2014, 18:59
An estate agent jumped a red light this morning....... I now need a new bumper

I caught it on my dashcam http://youtu.be/MJBmjE7DB8A (http://youtu.be/MJBmjE7DB8A)

Don't show that to the insurance company, you clearly moved off when the lights were on amber. Might be sticky point!

The lights might have been Amber for a tiny amount of time but look at the stop line for his lights. The other car has clearly jumped the lights. Unless he admits to it quickly or his insurance pays out without much disputed I wouldn't bother showing the video it's pretty clear cut he is in the wrong

Hmmmm...Maybe those seconds with the lights changing from red/amber to green may have been enough to let the vauxhall driver come into view. Anyway nobody was hurt, but my experience with insurance companies with claims get praying

There are 3 sequences to these lights. The lights to my right were at red, he was stationary then he assumed it was his turn next. I made off seeing that the road in front was clear of traffic which had permission to travel(green light).

He's admitted full fault to his insurers, putting it down to a moment of madness. To give him his due he was very apologetic.

At least he did the respectable thing and admitted it was his fault, hopefully you'll get your car fixed nice and quick

Good to have video evidence and glad it was only a bumper - I've just seen a bad crash on the way home tonight - dark and wet and motorbikes :(

PS your date time are wrong on the dash cam :)

At least he admitted it.
but if I was you I wouldn't admit you have that video as its clear you went on red/amber not green. They could make it a % claim rather than 100% his fault.

I never understand why people feel the need to tell the internet when they have damaged their car.
