The story: I got some new wheels for mk mk2, borbet A's in 17"s to replace my scabby wolfrace things. Only problem is the new wheels rub so i need some some spacers to stop this but the bolts already seem to be at the limit of their length.
The question: Can you get extra long bolts so that 5-10mm spacers can be fitted? If so where from?
Dont think i need hubcentric though because they only rub a bit
-
You can defo get them.
Just find out how long standard are, add the spacer length, and do a search for xmm wheel bolts
-
Pretty sure standard are ok up to 5mm. Any more than that and you want bigger bolts. if it's only scrubbing then 5mm should do it.
-
I wouldn't really feel safe with 5mm spacers and the bolts i have already. They already seem as though there's only10mm thread in use at the very max.
Is the thread and diameter on all wheel bolts the same, just a universal fit but just different lengths and head size? Genuine Q cos i dont know for sure.
If so would make good sense googling/ebaying Xmm bolts like you say

Standard mk2 wheel bolts are:
m12 x 1.5
23mm thread length
So something like this

or this

depending on the collar type you need for those wheels.
