not got a gti yet but will be getting a mk4 turbo and would like to learn as muc as i can before i get it.
am i right in thinking that a chirping sound on the turbo is no a good thing? (to0 much back pressure)?
how easy are boost guages, oil, water etc to fit or not to fit if that is the case and i will leave it at that for now haha
-
Gauges are piss easy to fit aslong as you locate the parts you want to 'sense' usually you get instructions anyway mate but unless your confident get a proper person to do it ;)
-
yeah pretty confident pal, im not too bad with stuff like that ive never had a gti b4 are mk4s fast lol
-
Erm they can be made fast mate....depends how much you want to plow into it lol
-
i guess what im saying are stocks pretty nippy but can be made to be beasts ;)
-
Stocks arent too bad but they can be made quick. I had an s3 a few year back with an 1.8t in....similar engine....and had that too 300bhp and that was nippy to say the least lol
-
sounds fun haha, whats the crack with makin em faster then sorry for such a stupid arse question.....remaps? turbo upgrades etc?
-
Turbos
Manifolds
fuels pump
Oil pump
Injectors
Coil packs
Plugs
Filter
Remap
Front mount
Etc etc etc
You could go berserk lol
-
ahhhhh i seee hahaha i better get learning about all that then lmao
-
Your best bet is too look for build threads on here for other members experiences with parts etc to get an idea of whats best to buy.
-
cheers mate much appreciated
-
They are dog slow standard, a remap transforms them.
-
Cool mate :-) that shall be the first thing on the list although I am buying second hand they may have already had a remap. Is there such thing as a re--remap lol
