Title: Rev counter
Post by: Mcwill on 16 September 2014, 22:41
Hi guys, just had a 20v t convertion done, all is working sport from rev counter.
Garage say I need a converter but I was thinking of getting a dash mounted rev counter with change light and not bothering with the dash one. Would I still need converter to do this????

Thanks

You need a converter because the Mk2 rev counter isn't compatible with the signal from the MK4 golf ECU. I suppose to avoid having to use a converter with a dash mounted rev counter you would need to buy one thats compatible with the MK4 signal.

The vendors charge enough for them they should be able to answer your question.
