Why is it that now I have cash in my pocket and I'm on the hunt for a mk3 I can't find what I want  :angry:

Loads on MK3's are being broken at the moment which may well be contributing to their decline!

I want a straight 16v or vr6 on coilovers . Also planning to vento front it so that would be a bonus

I'm in the same boat (pun definitely intended :p ) mate. I want a decent early 8v / 16v and am not picky with regard colour / no. of doors etc,  but they're all either dogs or over priced :( Seen a couple of Ok looking ones, but then they're miles away and I simply don't have time to travel the country.

You'll have to travel to find a good mk3 these days. Plenty out there. Good time to buy just now too.

I sold my MK3. But honestly speaking I regret it. I know it was an 8V, But it was one sorted 8V and it didn't suffer from rust either. Bodywork and mechanically was sorted.

Just wait and hang around you will find a nice example. Dont rush and buy a dog.

I've managed to pick up a nice tidy 8v , I'm really happy with it . Just sorting out the ride hieght and wheels

Not yet dude, still in my locker . I'm trying to get time to get it lowered and a few other goodies fitted

Cool. Make sure you copper grease the threads and put some kind of water proof material jacket over them so they seize if you need to re-adjust them etc....
