Is the coolant leak down to a faulty water pump?  The usual suspect.

Wastegate easy to resolve with clip isn't it.  Was convinced I had this a while ago but noise seems to have stopped  :undecided:

Yeah, that's what I think. Half the coolant (between min/max) disappeared in the first 5000 miles and pretty much the same again over the next 4500....

Mine lost coolant after first few thousand miles and needed topping up but no further losses since and now just about to hit 20k miles.

6 days seems extreme,  hope you've got a decent courtesy car.

What's the problem then? It wouldn't bother me if they kept it another month.

You should be taking up the challenge to put as many miles on it as possible. I had a courtesy car for 3 weeks whilst they attempted to sort out the rusty wings on my previous Passat. It had a couple of hundred miles on it when I picked it up and just over 4000 when they got it back.

  Now there's a challenge

Regarding the coolant loss, is the problem usually related to the water pump ?Sure I read that somewhere on another topic.....

Yes it is usually the water pump. Do a search there's a few threads on it.
