Title: DNS Lead not playing music
Post by: matchboy on 11 September 2014, 14:27
Quick search hasn't thrown anything up - basically, my iPhone has stopped playing music via the red collar lead ie. as an iPod - I can only play music from my phone via bluetooth now.  I thought it may be the lead or a fuse or something like that - but it still charges the phone.  It just won't recognise it as a storage device.  Highly irritating.

Anyone had this?  I have the standard DNS.

The exact same thing has happened to me. In the last couple of months when i connect my phone to the lead it's telling me the device is not recognised yet it is still charging the phone. I have an old iphone 4. When i tried my partners phone (iphone 4s) her phone worked no problem. Very strange

Maybe its my phone then.  I'll try my missus' one later as haven't had a chance yet.  Just ordered the new iPhone so it had better work with that lol!

I had this on mk 6.  It was the phone.  Try a hard reset on the phone (hold main button and top button down simultaneously for few secs).

Thanks!  I think you may be right.  Tried my phone in the missus' car and it isn't working on that either.
