Title: Project Car Ideas
Post by: Dean_W on 07 September 2014, 17:55
If you had the time, money and space to do a project car. Which included fitting a larger engine to said donor car.....

What would you do?

My mate has an 850CSI with the 5.7 V12 S70, an M8 basically.
400hp iirc and complete hoot to drive, custom headers exhaust cams, no need for rolling road its that quick

Going on from this thread, I think I will give a project car a go. More to get into the restoration side of things.

But, it would be on a limited budget. And limited space....so not too mental!

Ideas? Go!!!!

Ever since I had a Mk2 Polo breadvan, I wondered what it would be like if you could put a decent V6 in the rear of it and make it rear wheel drive.
It certainly wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea and would probably not be worth much to anyone else, but as an exercise in engineering it would be good and worth it to surprise a few people on the road.

That would be awesome.
