Title: DashCommand by Palmer Performance any advice?
Post by: Layfs on 05 September 2014, 17:14
I've hooked up the above programme on my iphone using the OBD port.  After going for a blast it is recording at 6116rpm's;

232hp power
208lb-ft torque
14.2psi boost

As far as I am aware my car is a standard 180bhp AUQ engine.

My questions is how accurate are the figures through the OBD2 connection.  If I'm honest it doesn't feel that fast but I'm used to driving chipped diesels which is a completely different power delivery system

If its standard like you say then I'd ask for a refund on the app

if you're running 14.2psi boost you're running a stage 1 map, not standard. With that boost you won't be hitting 232bhp though

Way over those figures for BHP

Can dash command log the mass air flow sensor - reading from that tends to be more accurate for calculating BHP by multiplying g/s reading by 1.25
