Title: newby question - knocking noise aorund drive shaft
Post by: pbeardmore on 03 September 2014, 11:24
I have a GTI 1.8 Turbo. for a few months there has been a knocking noise around the area of the front nearside drifeshaft, it only is there when under power (not in neutral or coming off the power) and is in time with the revelution of the wheels rather than changing with the gears. Its much more noticable on smooth roads and during a recent trip to France on the motorways, it was really bugging me. Two local garages have been unable to find anything and have said wait till it gets worse but I am not happy with that reply, any ideas?
