Title: Aum coolant leak
Post by: reedy20vturbo on 01 September 2014, 22:12
Hello,

I have a very small coolant leak coming from the coolant feed pipe to the turbo, it looks a big job to replace the washers as that's where I think it's coming from, it hasn't got worse and I've had the leak since I've had the car, 12 months,  Im thinking about putting some k seal (radweld) In and seeing if it stops the leak, is it safe to use this on the 1.8t engines? Thanks

HELL NO - Never use radweld on anything.

Its only an allen key holding that banjo bolt in, yes you will lose coolant but always better to do a proper job, the washers are very thin so you do have to make sure you don't over tighten them
