Im a great believer that there is nothing worse than the dyno lottery, but the key is to always look at the before and after figures and work out the actual gains.
Our standard factory non PP MK7 GTI produced the following at motoscope in northallerton
(http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c109/ABYSS69/ABYSS69050/golf_gti_non_pp_220ps__zps2d3c9016.jpg)
259.8bhp and 286.4lbft/389nm
with our FSR system installed the car then produced a healthy

312.3bhp and 336.6lbft/457nm
this represents an increase of 52.5bhp and 50.2lbft/68nm
the car has been ran on Tesco Momentum 99 for the last 3 tank fulls

Not trying to sound like a cock or anything but the dyno must have some accuracy issues if it's measuring a non PP GTI at 260 BHP & 386LBFT Torque as PP GTI's are only measuring 240BHP/360LBFT Torque?
I doubt at stock it would be 40 BHP & such a large amount of torque over the stated figures from VW.
But none the less some impressive figures if they are correct. Is this with standard intake ect?

Hi,
Does the PP's 10 BHP advantage over the non-PP car mean that the graphs would be the same but just 10BHP higher for the PP car (ie, topping out at 322BHP), or does it not work like that?
Also, I thought the non-PP car was rated at 217BHP-ish. Is that measurement being taken in a different way to these tests, or is the quoted figure quite conservative?
Thanks!

we've used this dyno for the last 7 years and the figures are usually spot on, we were as dismayed as you regarding the stock figures hence the reason I've concentrated on the actual gains rather than the headline figures :)
everything was stock apart from the box itself

And as I result I would be looking at the % change...
A little over 20% for peak power and 17.5% in torque...
As Andrew states don't be hung-up on the absolute numbers, its the changes that matter...
That's all dynos should be used for... before and after comparisons...
The other thing to look at is that the evident flat spot on the standard trace has been eliminated by the box... the car should not only be faster but smoother as well...

Certainly and you're right the gains should be looked at from a percentage point of view.
To be honest the increase before and after is almost the same as the gains from my Revo Stage 1 so for a tuning box that is really impressive indeed.
Do the boxes still flag up TD1 or are they completely undetectable by VW? Definitely a unique selling point if not detectable.

They don't flag up td1 apparently.

No TD1 flags as were not touching the Ecu at all, it's all down stream so no chance at all of TD1.
I'll be honest and say that I prefer the GTI over the Audi s3 saloon that I ran for 3 months, it's a superb car and so much fun

I never expected to read that after the praise of the S3 saloon. ..

I know, I thought you would be shocked Geoff ;)

We've just reduced the price of the FSR box and with the forum discount it's working back at £399 inc vat

How's the GTI going after a month or so Andrew?
Tried any FSR tweaks?
