Hey all. I have slight a coolant leak and a slightly bigger oil leak...
Any how, my oil light came on the other day. I didn't have any oil on me so didn't top it up. The low coolant warning came on as well so I topped that up.
When I topped the coolant up, the oil light went out. Does this suggest there's a compromise between the two? Or is it something to do with pressure?
Cheers for any info you guys could provide.

could be faulty head gasket or heat exchanger (if your engine has one? - which car/engine?)
mayo in coolant expansion tank and under oil filler cap???

Yip probably right to do with pressure. Low coolant and low oil, the oil that was in the sump would be less viscose(pissy) so oil pressure would be low. Me thinks oil pressure is derived from the clearance of the main bearings and the crank. When you topped up the coolant you actually cooled the oil and got a better oil pressure as a result.
