..... A 2.0tdi remap on a new beetle is the same as a mk6 golf? Mrs Ginge has said she's up for so I'm trying to sort it before she changes her mind! Collect 64 plate Sport on Sunday and drive to Richtersport for ABT stainless and rear diffuser Monday. Next on the hit list will be induction kit!

If he fancies a drive to Wales
Whats the engine code?? A lot of VAG cars can now be done via OBD. If a tuner near you cant do it then they havent got the right gear
Power outputs on the new stuff i suspect are in line with the MK7?

Is it the 150 version?
If you can get me the engine code we can go from there but i expect at least 30-35bhp

Cheers, I asked the dealer of it would be the new 150bhp but they couldn't confirm, wtf?!?
I'll try and get some more info on the engine code and let you know.
Neil.

If the VW website is anything to go ny then the Beetle comes with the 140bhp engine from the MK6 :undecided:
I'll do some digging mate as the Beetle with that engine is not listed on my database :undecided:
-
Thanks, I've emailed the dealer to see if they can help too.

Chris at CC Tuning in Burton on Trent remapped my Passat CR 140. I'm very happy with the result. He's also a good bit closer to you.

Mine had to have the ECU opened up, but that really isn't as daunting as it sounds. After all, that's how the job was done before OBD.

Yeah and currently it will be the same for the Beetle too

Tbh I was shocked when Bev suggested getting it mapped, we then had the discussion that perhaps we should've gone down the turbo route. Deep down she's as bad as me!
