Quick question for the experts...
Have hard water which leaves some marks, dripping off of mirrors and such like.
Have tried detailing sprays which go some way to remove them,
Is it ok to machine polish over them i.e. light correction to get rid?
-
Yes, polishing will get rid of them. Hard water where I live and polishing is the only thing that gets rid of them.

Cheers Booth11.
Regarding light maintenance what would anybody recommend as a very light cut for cutting/polishing?
I use a G220 with yellow pads.
Very minor swirls etc but no major issues.Just needs a spruce up.
I use black hole topped with Z2 (fantastic stuff) but would like to correct the paint rather than fill it.
Any suggestions very welcome.
Thanks in advance.

For light cutting try either Poorboys SSR1 or Dodo Juice Lime Prime. Both oy good for very light swirls or slight marring, otherwise SSR2 upwards.
Agree Black Hole has very good filling properties for light scratches.

Try vinegar, Lemon Juice, or clay even a dedicated water spot remover first - CarPro Spotless.
Why remove clear coat when you don't need to?

Have to say +1 vote for Lime Prime.
If you're not looking for any cut/abrasive properties they do Lime Prime Lite which is the exact same stuff without any abrasive properties.
Worked amazingly to remove scrapes on the skirt of an MG ZR I detailed yesterday - had in-grained tar/paint too.
