This isn't essential, but putting copper grease on the coil would be a good idea

You need some NEW top mounts just incase your old ones fail. As lowering a car will put ALOT of strain on other suspention componants.

use the front coilovers how they came in the box, with nothing on the top thread the bearing just rests on and so does the upper rubber mount, then you screw the inner strut nut down- Fit the coilover to the car then the top hat goes on in the engine bay, and the final top lock nut

I started with 28 threads, probably about that same measurement you got there and it was fine until they settled and then started rubbing the driveshaft, now I have lowered it another 20mm and removed the roll bar

-with that loosing all my engine undertray several pieces on the m25 hard shoulder  but no rubbing  :smug:

thank you I would like a drop of 40mm what measurements should it be and where to measure from please thank you

really the only accurate way of doing that is measuring from the Floor to the arch with the standard suspension, once youv fitted the coilovers ur just have to measure it floor to arch again and see where your at, f**king pain in the ass alot of messing about i just left it at 28 threads, and on the rear fitted everything that comes in the box with the rear ajusters wound all the way down that sat pretty level
