Title: are all gti,16v,vr6 exhausts the same

i have a 1997 8v and i have been offered a vr6 s/steel system.would it fit??

nope. there's about 5mm difference between the 8v and the vr, but not sure about the 16v... You can get a sleeve made though so it will fit.....

the bore of the pipe is the only difference, but a vr exhaust will fit on an 8v if thats what ya mean
