Having used the search function it's just made me more intrigued. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea. Those of you who have them. Team heko or climair?
-
Team Heko are far better than climair,
I had climair and changed them to Heko

Thanks for input. £30 reasonable for the 4pc for five door you reckon off the bay?

I have them team heko look good but apart from that provide little or no use apart grom making the car louder at speed

They do? I was reading that they stop you getting soaked...also bring fresh air into car without the loud noise associated with the window being open? Still unsure how they will look on the car.

I bought some for my Dads Yaris. Mum gets a really bad throat in cars with air con, so the deflectors mean she can have the window down with no draft.
I had a drive in the car and was really impressed. There was no wind noise at all with the windows closed. I then had the window half way down and there was no buffeting and no water came in when it rained. Personally I wouldn't have they myself. I rarely drive with the window open, so they would be rather pointless for me.

i got some heko on my 3 door black. looks spot on with them! ebay cheapest around! way cheaper than climair too i tihnk..

WOW! Huge mixed reviews with mine it makes car louder at speed with windows shut with them just cracked you get the impression of fresh air but little else i bought mine purely because wen i wax car water beads on roof when i drive off with window open rund into car off roof so i bought them as a guttering system tbh

Looks like it comes down to personal preference. Thanks for the great input/feedback as always folks.

If you want to avoid getting drenched from water running off a waxed roof, make sure you wax really well on paintwork around all doors and windows. I used to get a soaking whenever it had rained but not any more.

 That's the slightly more expensive solution

Booth, what do you mean by your last but one post? I've got three layers of good wax on my car (victoria concourse), with everything bar front windows and windscreen plastered with it...topped up with megs ultimate speed detailer every time I wash it, but I still get drenched with runoff from the roof.
MK6 has a pathetic roof gutter, but I'm not too sure if I like the look of the wind deflectors...may have to take the plunge though if I can't find an alternative solution!

Sorry, my post was poorly worded and a bit ambiguous.
I mean wax well the areas where the roof bends and curves into the top of the side windows, wax the outer upper and side window seals and the seal in middle of the B pillar (and the pillar itself of course). I also wax all windows bar the windscreen. You may already do all this, but these areas can get neglected when waxing.
I found that extra attention to detail made all the difference. Also stops that annoying waterfall of rain cascading into car when you first open the door after a downpour and rain has settled on roof. Not keen on wind deflectors so didn't want to go down that route.
-
Just this minute looked at the wind deflectors....hmm... rather get soaked when opening the window!

Still come thru the window after a downpour going round a corner

That will down to full power on opposite lock.

You got it boss

I do thousands of motorway miles a month in my little dirty diesel, I was going to order some of these next payday . . . But now I'm thinking otherwise ( noise on the motorway / at speed ) ???
-
I got some off eBay and fitted them last week.
I haven't noticed any increased wind noise at ++ motorway speeds (do about 2000 miles a month)
I'll try and find the ones I ordered.
-
I have team heko ones fitted on my 3 door, not noticed any noise.
-
I have team hekos load as funk!
-
I ended up buying team heko ones from ze bay of E. They are noisy at motorway speed but not "overly" noisy. If you drive with no music on you will hear it. Everyone's different so it may annoy you but it might not. Personally I think they look great aswell on my black 5 door gtd...
