Title: Anyone for a bit of tungsten
Post by: Ginge 35Edition on 09 August 2014, 21:09
Could this be the least original choice of colours?

Haha, I take it that's your bro's mk7.  Got the idea from your mrs' cab then

How does it compare to your old eddy?

Looks a great colour at that angle. Be nice to see how the sun changes the colour.

Looks really smart in that picture with the red details showing up really clearly.

Red badges would look awesome on this colour.

Not sure I like the DSG, but then I'm comparing it the 8 speed in the Beemer, great pop from the exhaust when changing gear, Dynaudio is great, new cabin layout and design is great, ridge around the alloys is annoying. On the whole I like it, need to drive a DSG R now and then I'm sold.

Power wise the Edi felt quicker and a nicer sound too but perhaps that's my bias?

Glendales have that ridge round the edge too but doesn't really bother me tbh, not that difficult to clean.

You've gotta go DSG with the R imo.

Not keen on the red badges on some colours, but agree they would look great on the tungsten

Looks spot on that Neil, I love Tungsten. I can't stand the ridge just on the inside of the alloy spokes, it's there on the 18" Austins too. It's the one thing I really don't like about the design. The fact that the inner wheel colour is black is something I just don't like on any car, but unfortunately there is no option to change it.
