Perhaps an alternative to pressed, any comments?

Its a no from me
-
I'm torn. We pick the wife's new beetle sport up on the 1st, it's already booked in at ABT to have their exhaust and rear diffuser done and thought that the rounded edges go the gel resin might suit the car better than pressed.
-
Personal opinion ....... I don't like them
-
Er, does your wife like them'? Her car after all

Bev is quite understanding and knows that there are certain things that aren't open for discussion, lol! Its a bit like when she is choosing wallpaper or something, lol!

How gutted are you, not to get to choose the decor

Look cheap and their legality appears suspect.
-
I see no British Standard Kite Mark anywhere. Isn't that a legal requirement for a plate these days?
-
They look turd.
-
Getting the feeling that its a unanimous no than, lol! I'll stick with pressed.
-
Ive seen these in the flesh on a few cars. In my honest opinion they only look nice on new cars.
-
I just liked how they look really clean and polished, the intention is to do quite a few show n shine events next year.
-
Kind of look like they belong on a toy car.
Totally depends on the car. Even pressed plates don't suit a lot of the cars which people put them on.
-
I have had many pressed plates, and I can honestly say the best quality ones I have ever got have been from an ebay seller "BMW.Styling" however he does take awhile to send them.
-
I quite like them, the gel domed plates and am thinking about buying a set. I am genuinely concerned over the legality of the plates though. There's a load of conflicting information online, some saying there illegal where others say there legal. I don't want to pay £50 for plates only to be pulled by the highway pirates and fined & points on my now clean licence.

I like the black lettering but hate the carbon look!
-
I've just ordered a set for when my private comes back. Didn't realise I'd need to email them a copy of my drivers licence and cherished plate certificate. Bit of a chew on but done now.

If they didn't ask for proof of ownership then they'd be committing a serious crime. Nobody in the uk can sell number plates without verifying your identity first.

Pretty crap if your existing holes go through a letter.

Sticky pads rather than screws :smug:

Plates arrived today and in my opinion look great. Can't wait to get them on the car. Offered them up to the car and they looked much better than standard plates. Of course, that's just my opinion.
-
Pics please mate?
-
I'll get some as soon as I have the plate fitted. I really think they add to the look of your car. Very smart :smug:

Got any pics yet?
-
Will take some on tomorrow or Saturday. I'm very happy that I decided to go with the domed plates plus had a county car behind me yesterday with zero hassle so looks like a good purchase.
-
Took pics on iPad but can't seem to be able to post them? I'll keep messing with it.
-
Thanks.
Pm'd mate.

I've replied to your PM mate.
