Title: opinions required
Post by: Nino on 08 August 2014, 08:20
Hey all. Im in abit of a dilemma. Yesterday i was on my way out and my street has one way in and out. In front of me was a lady in a 206 convertible and when we got to the bottom of the street, there is a right hand turn. On the bend was someones mg convertible and as she turned the bend another car was coming the other way meaning she had to move to let this car get by. She was reversing to make room and ended up hitting this poor guys MG then just drove off.

The damage looks like it will polish out imho but i cannot believe she just drove off she definitely knew she did it.

I took her reg and my first thought was to knock the guys door give him the reg and tell him what i saw.

My issue is, i know that she will know that it was me that grassed her up and im worried something will happen to my car.

I want to help this guy out but im in a pickle :s

Imagine it was your MG.

How thankful would you be that a stranger came to your house and told you who had damaged your beloved classic car and that they could identify them. The damage might be slight, and a cash payment easier than going through insurance.

AND.  It will teach that lady a lesson. Next time her little incident might not be so minor.

Do the right thing and tell him.

Enjoy the Karma.

Jonathan.

Give the reg to the owner of the MG I must say.

If I was the owner, I would have thanked you for it.

Pure arrogance hitting and driving away.

Tell the MG owner. Not much more to say. I think it is disgusting that people dont own up to stuff like that.

Ok ill do it. In all fairness the damage may polish out with a good cutting agent. Ill offer to polish it for him as a nice neighbour i am :)
