My car has developed this strange whistle sounds like a leak somewhere but i have checked all the pipework for the intercooler. n75 and the TIP and cannot for the life of me work out where its comeing from.
The car is boosting ok and is pulling like it always has which i would of thought would be down on power if it was a boost leak?
here is a video that might help

My golf did this when i first got it, mine turned out to be the coupler / connector between the pancake pipe and the intercooler that made the noise. i ended up buying a new longer connector because mine seemed too short to be able to keep a tight fit.
it took a lot of messing around with mine to eventually source the sound and sort it (adjusting the jubilee clip / T clamp) , and it didn't feel like i was loosing any power through it either.

I have a FMIC fitted. I user the original pipework with the n75 and DV take off onto the 2.5" pipework. Ive pulled it all off and refitted it twice and cannot for the life of me figure where its leaking. Will get some photos in the morning of the pipework make sure its all correct.

I have a fmic too, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is in the place I'm talking about. Judging by what mine did, mine would change the pitch and tone of the whistle if I adjusted it a certain way, and it took me hours and hours to actually fully sort it (had to leave the front bumper off to get access to it, then drive it down the road and back to see if it's sorted each time.)
Does it sound like the sound is coming from the drivers side?

have you checked around the injectors?

I have checked all the vacume lines from the inlet o the boost gauge and to the dumpvalve. Checked all the connections in the fmic checked TIP and all connections. can't work out whats causing this!

have you checked where your injectors go into the inlet

pull off your inlet pipe to turbo, put a extendable mirror down and check turbo blades are straight,if there curled around then thatl be problem, just happened to mine due to dump valve sticking causeing turbo to stall, just had to replaced complete unit
