Hello. I'm having some issues with my recently purchased mk3 gti. In 4th and 5th gear the car starts juddering. If I out the pedal to the floor then it's ok but in normal driving it judder a lot. Does anyone what could be causing this?

Is it like miss firing?
-
at what speed? have you checked for any vacuum leaks yet?
-
No miss firing at all. I haven't checked for leaks where would be the best place to start?

Right at what revs does it judder? 4th and 5th.
Also what speed does it do this?

I've checked the vacuum pipes and have found that the pipe that goes from the air filter to the crankcase is completely perished. Need to replace this, does anyone know where I can get one?
