Has anyone else experienced this...
Stop somewhere, autohold engages (green light on dash), take foot off the break and there is like an electronic whining noise coming from somewhere in the dash.
Put foot back on break & noise disappears, release break noise is back etc....
Noise is hard to notice but its one of those ones that once you've heard it its in your head!
Doesn't happen when manually put the handbrake on.
Car is GTD DSG BTW
Just noticed it recently when I had the radio off.
Have it booked in for 1st service next week but don't really want the dash being pulled apart.

No noise from my manual GTD mate when using autohold.

I have not heard any noise like that. Only whirring I hear is when the hand brake engages. I'll have listen this evening.

Thanks,
The noise to listen out for is a high pitched whining noise at a constant pitch - you can only really hear it with radio off & windows closed
-
In for a service. dealer says the noise is normal - don't believe it but as I always have radio on and you can only hear it with windows closed and radio off (and it still only feint and not really annoying) I'm going to live with it.
I suspect the dealer thinks its just the EPB noise but its not.

I notice this noise too. Although I'm sure I hear things that aren't there these days
