Iv recently had to buy another engine for my mk2 golf gti, I took it to a garage which royaly f****d the engine so new engine was a must. I bought an engine that is a mk3 2.0 litre block with 1.8 PB head. Pretty much everything is the same except one thing right on the front of the mk3 block just next to the distributor. Iv been told it's an oil breather pipe and that I'd need to get a catch can and iv been told I can remove it and get a blanking plate for it.ill try and upload a pic of what I'm talking about and any info on it would be much appreciated thanks

Either would be suffice. On my G60, the supercharger support bracket acts as a blanking plate but not sure if there is anything available to buy as a blank. Rerouting to a catch can wont give you any issues.
