Title: Exhaust popping/banging

Noticed the other day after getting a full system put on that if i am going at 3-4k revs and tap the throttle sometimes it pops and bangs.

I know its just unburnt fuel but can this mess anything up and break something if I am messing around trying to scare bus w*nkers?

yes it could burn out your fuel injectors.

This is what my one is like with just a backbox Really should get a decat see some flames! :)

I doubt it's doing your engine damage possibly will damage the cat if its still fitted or so ive been told.

yea planning to have a system built when funds allow looking at doing something like this.

Yeah i do have a decat. Just wondering if it will f**k something up if i blip throttle etc

mine pops and bangs all the time and I have a sports cat... I wouldn't worry about it causing any damage

nah, no damage

would love to know how it could cause damage to the fuel injectors. the bang is from unburn fuel exploding however many metres away from the fuel injectors, but the fuel in the cylenders is exploding how ever many mms away from the fuel injectors so i think if a exhaust poping could damage injectors then you would have to replace the injectors every 5 mins :D
