Long story short my car wouldnt start the other week so had to jump start it, i assumed it was the battery so i replaced it for a new bosch one about 2 weeks ago, same has happened again, so im thinking alternator or could it be something else thanks in advance
-
check the battery with a volt meter, have you fitting anything recently electrical related? as that could be draining
-
Ill be checking that tomorrow mate as i got to go and buy 1 but no not fitted anything at all mate everything is standard
-
yeah start with checking the battery, http://www.wikihow.com/Check-an-Alternator
-
Cheers mate ill give it a go tomorrow  but is it common for a battery to go so quick if it is the battery as its only 2 weeks old lol
-
No, so unless you have a duff which seems unlikely you have another issue, did wherever you got the battery from test before replacing it?
-
No didnt get it tested mate i just changed it myself, any idea were i should start looking next?
-
My previous 1.8t for some reason alternator and fuse box on top battery burnt out had change both Inc lead to alternator.
-
Ok cheers mate ill be taking a look tomorrow anyway the thing thats puzzling me is that it start fine all day today

does the interior light stay on ? buzzer sound if lights are left on ?
-
Yea mate the buzzer sounds if lights are left on and not really noticed the interior light lol
-
just wondering if something is draining battery , as door locks are prone to fail so people leave lights on etc without noticing
-
have you checked anything yet with a multimeter?
-
I checked the battery first thing and came up with 12.11, i started it up reved it for a few mins and it was showing 14.35, cheers
-
do you still have the old battery?
worth testing that and if its dud you will know
